We were taken on a day trip to the town of Heidelberg, which is on the Neckar River, a Rhine tributary. We went through the semi-restored (deliberately left that way) Heidelberg Castle that overlooks the town and University District, then went downtown to shop, eat, and walk around.
The following day we were taken by bus from our berthing area in Kehl to the Old Town area of Strasborough, La Petit France, and the Cathedral Notre Dame De Strasbourg. This was a very picturesque area with it's canals, bridges, locks, and streets. For the afternoon, we went to Baden Baden and toured the Roman Bath area.
